It all begins on Friday the 11th of August. The Feria de Málaga (or Malaga Fair), as customary, will begin after el pregón (a moving speech that announce the beginning of the event) given by LaMari, lead singer of the local group Chambao. After that, the fireworks display will begin! At midnight, the night sky will be lit with uncountable colours. Is there any better place to enjoy such show than la Terraza de San Juan? From the rooftop, you will be able to enjoy the cityscape decorated by the unique colours of the fireworks. On top of that, there is a huge variety of shows for everyone during the Fair.
If you love music, the Fair offers not only the local folk music, verdiales, that you will hear and enjoy on the streets, but also a number of concerts and shows at the Auditorio Municipal, Caseta de la Juventud and other venues. This year we will dance to the rhythm of Chambao, David Bustamante, Café Quijano, Danza Invisible and Soraya, among others. Chambao will lead the musical offer, giving the first concert of the festival, after el pregón.

> Wear light and fresh clothing, remember you are in Malaga, in August, and the Costa del Sol gets its name for a reason. It is not strange to go over 35 degrees Celsius those days.
